尝试以这种方式直接设置语言环境，它在 Ubuntu 10.04 上对我有用，只需根据您的需要定制语言环境:

root@hostname:~# export LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8
root@hostname:~# export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
root@hostname:~# export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
root@hostname:~# locale-gen en_US.UTF-8

进而:

root@hostname:~# dpkg-reconfigure locales
