database - HP Vertica，我们可以在 Windows 上安装它吗？我们用于 Oracle 的 SQL 与 HP Vertica 相同吗？

我是 HP Vertica 的新手。我阅读了 HP Vertica 的安装文档。该文档完全基于 *ix 环境。所以，我的问题是我们也可以在 Windows 上安装 HP Vertica 吗？

另一件事，就我搜索的命令而言，这些命令与 Oracle SQL 命令相同。那么，我们是否也对 HP Vertica 使用相同的 SQL 命令？

另外一个我理解的集群、实例、节点、数据库的概念是，

HOST: is a computer where the Vertica is installed.

INSTANCE: it is also a computer where the Vertica is in running state. 

Node: it is the combination of HOST & INSTANCE.

CLUSTER: I am not clear about this. May be this is about the instances of Vertica running on different computers.

DATABASE: It is the actual installed database software where the data & catalog resides to which other nodes are connected (not sure abt this also).

Vertica 只能在 Linux 上运行，并且官方只支持部分 Linux 版本(不能支持所有版本)。

Vertica 的 SQL 基于 PostgreSQL。

1 个 Vertica 实例运行在多个并行运行的节点上。它们共同构成了集群。
