问题不在你这边。尝试:

git clone 'git://github.com/maccman/gdata.git' "foobar" --bare --no-hardlinks

在我的机器上失败并出现同样的错误。

有趣的是，非裸克隆似乎可以按预期工作。

解决方案: 从 https 接口(interface)克隆:https://github.com/maccman/gdata.git 代替。
