~/.profile一些发行版供应商(如:debian/ubuntu)使用颜色和基本配置等 shell 配置，此文件适用于 SH - 最小外壳，使用时 Bash它仅在 ~/.bash_profile 时作为最后的手段加载或 ~/.bash_login没有找到。

因为 RVM 不兼容 SH shell 加载 RVM 的行未添加到 ~/.profile即使没有 ~/.bash_profile或 ~/.bash_login可用，而不是 ~/.bash_profile已创建。

现在由您决定是否要将设置移动到 ~/.bash_profile或者更喜欢 source ~/.profile在那里，在某些情况下你可以删除 ~/.profile .
